Cornell must replace inertia with action on climate justice

Why does Cornell still continue to allow fossil-fuel influence at every level of the university?

Read the report by Fossil Free Cornell, as covered in The Guardian.

Why is Cornell still hoarding its mineral rights to the extent of perpetuating Indigenous dispossession?

Read the report by the Indigenous Dispossession Project.

Why does Cornell still refuse to report upstream methane emissions or their lack of progress toward climate goals, while petitioning to exempt itself from Ithaca’s fossil-fuel phaseout?

Dear Council & Trustees:

Step up or Stand aside

Step up: Lead the Cornell community with integrity, by recognizing the enormity of our crisis and impelling Cornell to fulfill its promise to “respond with the speed, scale, and scope required to confront climate change.”

If, on the other hand, you are inclined to continue leading Cornell down the path of incrementalism and inertia, please stand aside.
